Fluxer is less than a week old. So I can’t speak for that. But I’ve heard a few people struggle with Stoat. But the devs and the community are always online to help
Because you wrote this I too agree in heard mentality.
Actually let’s agree to disagree. Lemmy is a niche social media platform. By its very nature attracts a particular set of people. Those who like to self host those who care about privacy. A lot of college educated people. So it’s not insane to reason many of these people will have similar beliefs or political leanings.
This is further reinforced with what Lemmy is all about, topics for like minded people.
Does that capture everyone ? No ! Of course not. You still will find people who disagree all over the fediverse.

For me it’s purely the voice chat issue. I rarely use chat rooms anymore. Arguably something like TeamSpeak would work just fine for me.
