[3rd post][urgent][$10 out of $1000] Help me graduate from college

For those who didn’t know, I am a 29-year old gamer and college student. I was diagnosed with autism since early age.

I am very dependent on my pension and my aunt on my budget, however most of it went for food. So I have set this fundraising to help me cover college-related fees, free tuition couldn’t cover beyond intended purpose.

PS: My goal will include funds to buy a new phone, my five-year old Realme 6 still survived with broken volume buttons.

Update: Thank you so very much for donating $495! I still raise my goal to $1000. I reset my starting goal to reach $1500 in total. Thank you everyone for helping me pay recent school costs.

Mon père est skipper. Pour son travail, il doit régulièrement partir à l’étranger pour faire des convoyages, c’est-à-dire amener des bateaux d’un point A à un point B.

Dimanche : ma petite sœur l’a au téléphone (WhatsApp). Il était aux Bahamas et il s’apprêtait à rejoindre les Bermudes. De là il doit récupérer un bateau et l’amener à Washington. Quelques messages échangés entre lui et différents membres de ma famille + des amis à lui. C’est la dernière fois que qui que ce soit a interagi avec lui.

Lundi : J’essaie de lui téléphoner, pas de réponse. Ça arrive souvent donc je ne m’inquiète pas. Il n’a jamais rappelé.

This maybe a dumb question but i became paranoid all of a sudden and wanted some answers because i can't find it anywhere else nor can i sleep without it. Like even if i did flash linux on a lets say amd laptop couldn't the chip itself be spying on me ? Also i understand bootloaders are stored or rom is there a way to know what else is stored on it are roms open source ? Are cpu's open source and companies like asus store their logos and shit on their mother boards so what else could they be storing ? Are there open source alternatives for these parts ? Are we all being privacy cautios for nothing ? I know we can use firewall but wouldn't the chip integrated have the ability to bye pass it ?

I know there are linux laptops but having a pre installed linux and some switches isn't gonna solve the problem do they use open source roms and motherboard ? Are there any fully open source chipsets ? I want to know the same about smartphones too ?

If you haven't heard there is a far-right event taking place nationwide in Canada on September 20th, called the "One Million March." it is a cryptofascist anti-lgbtq protest that will certainly lower the safety of LGBTQ+ people in my and others communities. Many counter protests have been planned across the country, but there are none in my city. This represents an imminent danger to people I know, schools in my city, and establishments with pro-lgbtq+ signage. No organized counter protest action has been planned here, and as a 15 year old I urgently need advice to attempt to show that fascists aren't welcome in this city.

So, a few months back, my sister accidentally dropped the laptop and for some reason, it wasn't booting up anymore. When i tried to watch YouTube videos and try to do stuff in bios, like changing boot mode and stuff, it said "no recoverable boot device found" so I figured that I'll have to install windows 10 again. I did that, created a usb installation media, and inserted it in my laptop. It's been 3 hourse, and it's just showing blank screen. When I put the usb stick in, it showed a windows logo and then it turned blank. I've been waiting for 3 hours and I'm getting kinda worried now. Any advice? My laptop has 1tb HDD, 4 GB RAM and Intel Pentium.

The reason I'm asking this is the company I work for develops an application which has a barcode reader functionality. The device we develop these softwares for has a very limited resolution camera (2MP). Now they want me to set a benchmark for the maximum length barcode pattern which is scannable. So what I'm trying to do is use an online barcode generator of CODE-128 and then feed various length strings to it. If I knew what pattern results in the most dense/unreadable barcode I'd be able to create different patterns using that.
