We've just released patch 0.2.1b for Path of Exile 2. With this update, all the microtransactions released in Path of Exile: Secrets of the Atlas will also be available in Path of Exile 2.

Microtransactions included in this patch are:

• Watcher's Wrath Armour Set
• Archon of the Atlas Armor Set
• Skull of Undeath
• Syndicate's Demise Unique Finisher Effect
• The Originator's Portal Effect
• Rose Charges

This patch also enables the Mercenaries Supporter Packs for Path of Exile 2. There are two series of Mercenaries Supporter Packs; the Phrecian Magistrate series and the Cryptkeeper series. Each of the two series has different exclusive cosmetic contents, like the armour sets shown below.

Now that Path of Exile 1 has had its league, it's time to talk about our plans for when the next Path of Exile 2 Content Update will be released! Path of Exile 2 has a lot of new players, so we thought it would be a good idea to explain how our updates work.

Major updates for Path of Exile 2 are released every 4 months. Since 0.2.0 was in April, that means the next one will be in August, and the one after that will be in December.

Our big updates, including the one coming in August include a new League. Leagues are a fresh economy for you to experience the new content update in, but they also have exclusive content that is only available in the league.

Leagues usually contain a new combat mechanic, new rewards, new crafting options and new bosses.

During the league

Something smells a little off in today's Build Showcase. DwaneDibbley shows us some creativity with his aptly named Fartmaster build where he marches across Wraeclast with his Ritualist and leaves foul gas and bodies of monsters in his wake. Check it out in the video below!

Phishing Emails Warning

Some players have recently reported that they're receiving phishing emails impersonating our Support team members. We would like to remind everyone to carefully check that the email address you are receiving emails from is [email protected] before replying, and to never click on any suspicious links without checking the link's location (such as previewing the URL it's directing to or searching the link location through Google).

If possible, our Support team will usually suggest using the verification process located on the Contact Support page of the website, which should be available as long as you have access to your account in game. They will only do more thorough verifications if this is not available to you.

If this is not available to you and you require a more detailed verification via email, you are welcome to send a fresh email to [email protected] to check that they are the ones you are in contact with.

We'd like to provide an update on a few important things that have been happening in Path of Exile.

Server Issues

We've been very focused on improving DDoS protection for our servers. Unfortunately, some of the protective measures have blocked legitimate traffic, causing instances to unexpectedly close. We're working closely with our server providers to finish setting up protection and resolve these issues as soon as possible.

Compromised Accounts

There have recently been an increased amount of reports regarding players having their accounts compromised. We've looked into as many reports as we could, and will continue to do so, however we have found no evidence of any kind of security breach on our end. We wanted to give an update talking about how the launch went and what we're immediately working on.

Over the weekend we launched Path of Exile: Secrets of the Atlas. We are so thrilled to see the number of people who joined us for launch day. Welcome back, Exiles!

Starting with the elephant in the room, unfortunately primarily our European servers but also servers across the globe have been facing a barrage of DDOS attacks. We understand that this issue has ruined such an anticipated launch for many players. This is unacceptable service and we are deeply sorry. We want to assure you that we are taking this very seriously and it is the highest priority problem for our company to solve. Due to the nature of these attacks, we're unable to provide a timeframe on when it will be res

Secrets of the Atlas Additional Boss Kill Event

Due to the networking issues causing Europe and some regions in Asia to be unstable and getting disconnected we will be running a SECOND pinnacle boss race event later in the league once we have addressed the problems or can be certain there won't be disruptions to this degree.

The entire prize pool will be awarded again (the same prizes too) on top of the current event, we will clarify how this will work exactly in a follow up post once we can schedule a date.

We will make sure this is run later to give everyone enough time to get practice and familiar with the content so that it can be as fair as possible and will let people know in advance the date.

To confirm, the existing event will continue and the prizes will still be valid so that the efforts of the unaffected players are not in vain.
