Murder Was the Case is a 1994 short film and soundtrack album starring Snoop Doggy Dogg. April 29, 1992 was the day that riots formed in Los Angeles after 4 LAPD officers were acquitted for use of excessive force on Rodney King. The song takes place on the day of the riots — Bradley claims he participated, though the extent to which he did is disputed. Ultimately the song is not just about the day of April 29 but also the overall state of the country and our relationship with police.
