So I was thinking about the owlks in Echoes of the Eye and how they're all dead in the real world, only living on in the dream world. Initially, I'd assumed they just died because they were in there too long. However, then I realized that they had to still be alive when the prisoner turned off the signal blocking the eye of the universe in order to build his prison.

Where this got interesting was how this relates to the Nomai. I think it's a safe assumption that they had been blocking the eye of the universe for a long time, since it was implied that the Nomai had been around for a while when they picked up the signal. So clearly they'd been living a long time in the dream wo

So, we know that they planned in building the Ash Twin Project at the core of Ash Twin. They've also stated how important it is that no sand gets in. But, as far as we can assume, not all of the sand (ash?) leaves Ash Twin. So how did they get to the core in order to build all that?

Or am I likely overthinking it, and they probably just built it however they could and then removed the sand/ash when they were done?

I know this isn't a super important detail, it's just something I've been thinking about lol

I liked the game, especially the combined open-world and spaceflight aspect of it. I cracked every puzzle except for a single-line hint I took for getting into Ash Twin.

However, I think my experience with the ending was different from the average. After learning everything about the Nomai, their projects, the coordinates they never found, the fact that the universe was doomed, I thought:

"damn, the Vessel is clearly completely Fucked Up Beyond All Repair, shame about these coordinates discovered zillions of years after they'd be any use to anyone".

I assumed the "rewards" for finishing the game were:

  • Knowing that the Eye of the Universe really does exist a

I have a question about something that I don't think was explained in the game?

So, I recently finished the game (beat EotE and base) and i have had this question lingering in my mind for a while.

The ATP requires the power of a star going super novae, as shown by the death of the universe blah blah blah we all know the tune by now, but what ive wanted too know is, why did the nomai think too blow up the sun instead of trying the numerous other ways of generating energy? I understand that they needed too do so for the 22 minute negative time interval, but why didnt they use a black hole bomb? they CAN create black holes, and so can use the gravity of a black hole, and in such can generate power using said black hole? or why didnt they create
