Surely you're brewing with the open-source Brewtarget?
It's a beer recipe planning / brewday helper software.
Personally I've been using it for years and been really happy with it.
I didn't know about it till now, but I am a beginner. Just brewed my first beer a few weeks ago and planning on a second soon. I'll take a look. I know about brewfather and brewers friend, didn't know about an open source solution.

Just a smash with pale malt and centennial, made a million mistakes but it turned out ok. Wouldn't say it was great, but nobody had any problems with drinking it and it went away within a few days. But I made my own recipe in brewers friend and that's one of the many mistakes I made. I only had a very basic setup and minimal equipment, so for my next time,it's going to be a lot better, I bought a keg, a CO2 tank and a fridge, so as long as I follow a good recipe, it's gonna be good!
Very cool! Does anyone know if it supports digital hydrometers like the Tilt?
Such a cool app I will look it up in my repo (Mint) since it is also Linux. I have been using some ancient excel sheets until now.
Yes, Linux support is a big deal for me too.

Apparently they no longer maintain brewtarget.org, they just use the github now! They're up to version 3.0.9

Thanks for this! I'd just sprung for BeerSmith on my phone a couple of years ago and used it on ChromeOS's Android emulation as well, but I've since removed ChromeOS and am left with just a tiny phone screen.
I see it's got BeerXML exporting and importing capabilities, I'll certainly get it on my Linux machine to use a proper screen for my designs.
And it seems to be endorsed by Wil Wheaton!
