Bill to end vote-by-mail slows Oregon legislative website to a crawl
The bill stands little chance of passing, but inspired a torrent of testimony that flooded the site Monday.
Vast majority of the subsequent feedback seems to be overwhelmingly negative. Good job Oregon!
We do vote by mail here in Utah and it's glorious. Hold on to it you wonderful Oregonians. I've never voted in person, and I've been voting for nearly two decades now in two states (grew up in WA) and two continents (absentee one year), so I'm not planning to start going to the pools anytime soon.
Pennsylvanian here. 1/2 in-person years ago, 1/2 by "mail" (drop-off) now for the last several cycles. More options over less options! It's that simple. Cries of fraud are the fraud itself.
The website couldn't handle 9000 submissions? That's embarrassing for us Oregonians... 😊
Haha don't ask us about running a public healthcare website either....
