Personally I am sick of this toxic positivity bullshit. In the last panel, he says it is "proof" that you can turn your life around. Bullshit. Yes you can stick around longer and try but it's not free. If a suicidal person takes his advice and tries to change their life, but they can't and keep living a miserable, lonely life, that would be even more humiliating.
Society has every reason to keep people alive. Because people mean manpower, tax payers, workers, soldiers. When someone says their life sucks and see no way out, I respect them and believe them. These fake positivity bullshit only serves the rich and powerful.

Sometimes people can't see the way out of misery, and it's valid and tragic. It doesn't mean there is no way, it just means they need help. Not help with tying a noose, but help with their problems.
