Youtube ads finally got me
Looks like its over for me and youtube. Being told I cant watch because of an ad blocker.
Where is everyone moving to and using instead of youtube? I will just move to the same place.

I keep hearing about FreeTube. I've been meaning to check it out.
I googled this but its just a client app for youtube? Seems to not be solving an issue?
I suspect it would solve the ads problem at least. Perhaps also the problem of Google tracking you. I haven't looked into it though. I've just heard it mentioned in a number of similar posts.
True but Im looking more for a solution to the root cause of the issue. I googled and found something ‘odysee’ but dont know if its just a clone or fundamentally something different like how lemmy is different to reddit fundamentally. It says it uses the blockchain but not clear if this is a better solution in theory. Will try look into it. I assumed there was like common knowledge on this here on lemmy but guess not.
