It's the Rankine. Some Scottish dude wanted to use Kelvin without using Kelvin. It's basically the Fahrenheit scale but with 0˚R set at absolute zero.
0˚R = 0Kand1˚R = 0K + 1˚F-
From what I can gather, R and Ra are the same thing?
