A couple days ago scheduled advanced task just stops working and gives me "Failed to connect to the provided URL" in the log file. Before this it works perfectly. From Genp "Update hosts" button works fine
Does anyone have a fix for Creative Cloud's installer crashing? It keeps generating a .dmp file regardless of which set-up file I use (I've tried all 3). I see this exception code in the dmp file -> 0xc0000096 and after looking it up I'm not sure what else to try.
Everything Adobe related on my computer has been uninstalled/removed (registry, appdata, programfiles, programdata) and I've turned off all AVs and windows firewall during the process yet it still crashes.
Even tried it in safe mode and I am on an Administrator account.
Starting a few days ago, adobe apps are creating log files to the project path every time I save:
11:09:12:554 [CRITICAL] SharedConnection - Failed to open WinHTTP Session. The parameter is incorrect.
, last error code = 87
11:09:12:554 [ERROR] Failed to Configure Secure Protocols. WinHTTP Incorrect Handle Type. last error code = 12018
I'm guessing this has something to do with the patching preventing Adobe from connecting to it's servers but it seems odd that it only started up recently.
The apps are working and saving correctly but seems strange.
I am fairly new to GenP and have successfully installed the 2025 versions of the apps. For that, I thank everyone working on this - it is truly a remarkable achievement.
Now, please forgive me if this has been asked before - since the subreddit is banned, I could not sift through the info there. Is there a way to download OLDER versions of certain Adobe software? I am specifically looking for Adobe Premiere Pro 2022 / Media Encoder 2022. I require these to be able to open projects with the older Legacy Titles. But I guess I am asking in general for other apps too.
I tried ProDesignTools but they only have links up to CC 2019 (and even that only via IA). Also, older versions on CC only go as far back as 2024. No luck there.
Is there ANY way to get older official installers of Adobe software that can subsequently be patched with GenP?
I have an nVidia Quadro K2200 and I've found out that version 24.4.1. is the last version before Adobe introduces DirectX 12 into their program. I'm tired of that popup saying my GPU is incompatible.
How can I track down what is causing it to crash? I've already uninstalled all adobe products using BCUninstaller and restarted before I installed a fresh copy.
Now, I've seen posts saying that v3.6.4 helped remove daily pop-ups but I'm still stuck using fiddler to find and report domains daily (yes even if I update the host files from https://a.dove.isdumb.one/list.txt before opening any adobeapp.exe).
I find it strange that every domain I upload is not already on the list (it's been at least 13 days in a row by now) even though I can see in the closed issues history that other users have reported domains within a few hours of me.
I had working scheduled task before but it became useless after these daily changes that seem unique to me.
GenP also tells me I'm missing a config file (even though patching worked 100%). Could this be a contributing factor or something I need to fix?
Any thoughts and input would be greatly appreciated.
